Cannon High News Cannon County Takes Down FRA 24-7!

The Cannon County Lions stepped onto the home filed of the Franklin Road Academy Panthers looking for some respect after falling to 0-2 at home. The Panthers wanted a win to celebrate their Homecoming festivities and came out roaring to take a 7-0 lead at half time. Cannon High News Friday Night Football

Cannon County fell to 0-2 after losing to the York Institute in the Jungle Friday night. Despite the light drizzle, the Lions maintained fan support throughout the game and offered some thrilling moments to please the crowd. Receiving the ball at the kick off of the second half, Tony Harris (30) brought the crowd to their feet with a runback that looked like it was going all the way to the end zone but he was stopped after powering through the arms of several York tacklers. Jim Gibbs Record Enrollment at MTSU

Early fall 2008 semester numbers indicate Middle Tennessee State University once again is headed for a record enrollment. Totals collected from the Office of Records showed 23,771 students registered for classes as of August 27th. With the campus only 20 miles from Woodbury, MTSU is often the college of choice for local students.
