The mission of the Tennessee Education Association (TEA) is to promote, advance and protect public education, the education profession, and the rights and interests of its members.
They are Tennessee's largest professional organization representing over 55,000 elementary and secondary teachers, school administrators, education support professionals, higher education faculty, and students preparing to become teachers.
TEA actively advocates learning without limits, and their work centers around core values of community, effectiveness, independence, justice, relevancy, success, unity, and the worth and dignity of individuals.
"He [Stratton Bone] recognizes that Tennessee's future depends on strong public schools, and merits the support of the education community, parents, and all others interested in the future of public education. Public schools have a friend in Stratton Bone." - Jerry Winters, TEA Manager of Government Relations
